Role

Through our Pharmacist Internship program, the successful candidate will gain valuable practical experience in both the hospital and retail pharmacy areas, providing a well-rounded foundation for a career in pharmacy.

Responsibilities

The programme will take place from January 2027 to December 2027 and will grant the successful candidate participation in and exposure to the following areas:

 

·       Ward rounds

·       Incident management and medication error reporting

·       Participating in a multi-disciplinary healthcare team

·       Medication safety

·       Clinical audits

·       Inpatient and outpatient medicine dispensing

·       Specialised medication management

·       Section 21 medication processes

·       Controlled medication management and compliance

·       Pharmaceutical stock control and inventory management

·       Patient counselling

·       Antimicrobial Stewardship

·       Paediatric dose calculations

·       Exposure to international evidence-based guideline dosing

·       Ordering and management of TPN (Total Parenteral Nutrition)

·       General administrative duties, including departmental housekeeping and stationary       management

 

Education

·      Completed BPharm degree

Experience and Requirements

·      Passion for customer service delivery

·      Good computer literacy

·      Own transport

·      Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
