Our discharge and feedback process ensures you leave the hospital with clear instructions for your recovery and an opportunity to share your experience. Each patient will receive a survey via email on discharge, and we kindly ask that you complete it, as your feedback helps us improve our care and continue delivering the highest standards of service.

Discharge


Throughout your stay various members of your health care team will discuss your health journey with you.

On discharge, the following will be confirmed:

The recommended steps that you should follow with regards to your diet, medication and activity

Your follow-up appointment

Your wound care, if necessary

Prescribed medication. Zuid-Afrikaans Hospital features an onsite pharmacy for all your prescribed medication 

Ensure that you take the following with you on discharge:

Radiology reports and scans 

Orthopaedic appliances, such as crutches 

Electronic appliances and cables 

Personal items 

Whether you are going home, to a rehabilitation or a step-down facility, we strive to ensure a smooth transition of care between the hospital and your destination
