Registered Nurses
We currently have vacancies for Registered Nurses in our General Wards (Cardiac, Medical, Surgical and Orthopaedic). We have vacancies available for both day and night positions.
Responsibilities
- Practice patient care according to his/her Scope of Practice and assume total responsibility for these activities.
- Responsible for assessing, planning, executing, and supervising the implementation of care to meet patient needs.
- Ensure that all documentation is maintained accurately and timeously reflecting the nursing care plan, patient treatment and patient progress.
- Providing accurate, appropriate, and adequate information to patients and family members during hospitalisation.
- Render and promote cost-effective, safe, and quality patient care in accordance with hospital standards and policies.
- Practice the principles of infection prevention and all standard precautions by following the company’s IPC policies.
- Monitoring and implementing preventative measures to minimize risk.
- Maintain a healthy relationship with external stakeholders by reporting and escalating unresolved issues to the unit manager.
- The team member will perform nursing duties in accordance with the South African Nursing Council (SANC), the Department of Health (DOH) and Office of Healthcare Standards compliance.
Education:
- Degree or diploma in general nursing science.
- Current registration with the South African Nursing Council as a registered nurse.
Experience:
- A minimum of two years of work experience in a private hospital is essential.
