Goods receiving clerk: General Store

The role of the goods receiving clerk is to receive stock from the suppliers and couriers and ensuring the stock is processed into the system. The role includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Stock received will be checked for quantity, quality, damage to the parcel and ensure all supporting documentation is in order.
  • Handing over of stock to ensure fast and efficient capturing and focus on the barcoding of the products.
  • Picking and delivery of stock to the relevant location.
  • Assist with preparation and doing both cyclical and full stock takes.
  • Escalation of queries and discrepancies to the supervisor. 

Minimum requirements

  • One years’ experience working in a hospital.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Medically fit.
  • Passion for client services.
  • Willingness to work after hours.
  • Efficient time management.
