Difficulty walking

Our facility entrances are designed to support people with disabilities.  Our staff is ready at a moment’s notice to provide assistance.

  • Wheelchair assistance is available upon request for patients, families and visitors.
  • Designated parking for people with disabilities is clearly marked and allocated close to the main entrance of the hospital. A valid disability placard must be visible.

If you have any queries, you can call the front desk at: +27(0)12 343 0300 or you can go to the Help Desk at the main entrance where we will assist you. This service is available and accessible 24 hours per day.

Visually impaired

At Zuid-Afrikaans Hospital, we understand the challenges facing our visually impaired patients, families and visitors.

  • A staff member is always available to accompany you and provide guided assistance to wherever you need to go.
  • Wheelchair assistance is available upon request at reception.
  • We do not discriminate against the use of service animals and provide access to service animals whenever possible.  Service animals must be clearly identified and must display marked identification.
