Udated Visiting Arrangements

Infection prevention and control measures remain a top priority at Zuid-Afrikaans Hospital to ensure the safety of all our patients, doctors and staff.

The alarming increase in COVID-19 infections and the high transmissibility of the OMICRON (B.1.1.529) variant have necessitated Zuid-Afrikaans Hospital to urgently review our visiting policy and arrangements. Unfortunately, in light of the latest information, we have no other option but to impose very strict visiting arrangements and to suspend our visiting hours with immediate effect on 2 December 2021.

Exceptional Circumstances
In highly exceptional circumstances, visitation will be arranged for compassionate reasons and life-threatening scenarios by the Nursing Services Manager.

In circumstances where the patient is not able to stay in contact with his/her family, the nursing staff will update the family representative. You are also welcome to contact the ward or ICU for updated information.

Be assured that your family and loved ones are cared for to the best of our ability based on the proud record that ZAH is known for.
